![]() Dr. Roy Craig Title of Lecture:"Current Perspectives of a Project Bluebook Investigator" A revealing look back at the personal musings of individual cases examined and the fascinating detailed descriptions thereby uncovered. Along with this historical overview of the UFO phenomenon, the involvement of the US Air Force, the development of amateur UFO study groups and the continuing "UFO Wars", an up-to-date personal perspective will be shared. Dr. Roy Craig bio Roy Craig attended Fort Lewis College, Colorado State University, University of Colorado, and California Institute of Technology before receiving a Ph.D. in physical chemistry from Iowa State University. He served in the US Army during WWII. Retired from the professions of manufacturing nuclear weapons, teaching physical science at the university level, and technical and environmental consulting, he now raises llamas on the historic LaBoca Ranch in his home state. In the late 1960s, under the direction of Dr. E.U. Condon, the University of Colorado began a scientific study of unidentified flying objects. The Colorado Project (also known as the Condon Project) was controversial from its inception, and before issuing its final report had undergone constant media antagonism, staff dissent, abrupt firings, and covert activity. Roy Craigs experiences as the major field investigator for reported UFO sightings make fascinating reading, both for firm believers in extraterrestrial visitation and those who are most skeptical. He records both detailed descriptions and personal musings of individual cases he examined. In addition, he gives a historical overview of the UFO phenomenon, the involvement of the US Air Force, the development of amateur UFO study groups, and the continuing ?UFO Wars.? His findings close the door on the dreams of many UFOlogists, but then his philosophical musings open a big window and let back in the possibility of the existence of UFOs. Email Dr. Craig |
